After visiting the stone store yesterday and doing some research on a couple of the stones for V, and remembering how much I enjoy stone work, research and pickin them out, I went to bed last night thinking how cool it would be to open a kiosk at the mall and have stone, stone jewelry and even some new age/pagan/wiccan influenced jewelry for sale - not a full-fledged store, but at least something for those around town that need the stone medicine which just isn't available here. It's a shame that we have to drive to F'ton or Hfx just to get some stones to work with!
We went to the mall boxing week shopping this evening and we found this really great myth & magic iece which I ended up buying (sooo not in the budget!) and a necklace as well. It was a must have - both Van and I were struck by it - we both loved it immediately, and it was a must have. A one of a kind - something I never would have thought would have worked together - a mother of pearl and malachite wrapped around each othe forming a heart! It's really quite spectacular. I LOVE malachite. Always have and the lady at the store was explaning t me what the stone was and I dont remember what she called it and I said, no - it's malachite and she was like - no, it's uh... oh maybe it is...yes, I think you're right! Of course I'm right! I know my stones, especially my malachite!
Anyway, Van turned to me and said - you know, you should really work in a store that has stones and jewelry like this as you love the stones and you would be really good at it. Yes. Yes I would and yes, i'd really love it and enjoy working with the stones and jelery. my only concern is that I woudln't be able to give up the beautiful stones and jewelry pieces! :)
So, I told him about what I was thinking about last night and he agreed that it was a good idea. I'd like to start small - like a kiosk and he doesn't see the problem with starting big - get a franchise. I'll see. If it's meant to be, it'll be whatever form it takes. :)
I'm excited about the possibilities though!
Just in case I don't get back on before then - Happy New Year! I hope there are many blessings for you in the next 12 months!
