I was supposed to be an instructor for a singing summer camp starting tomorrow and you know, I'm rather glad that I do not have to teach this week. I just finished up "teaching" with the music exams this past Friday and I'm honestly a bit fried. I now have 2 almost full days off before I have 4 students on Wednesday and then an outfoor flea market on Thursday. I will probably go to the Lake on Monday or Tuesday and be better off for it all mentally at least, in the end.
I am going to go in for all day Saturday dress rehearsals and the actual concert as accompanist, so it isn't a total loss monetarily and I still have some "downtime" and I still get to do the outdoor flea market, so I think "everything happens for a reason" is seriously applicable this coming week.

I've been wondering if St. Peter's would be open to having you do organ and singing for the Saturday 4pm mass. I don't like their organist and the singer can only do so much (so we hear the same 3 songs over and over). It gets boring.
I'm nto sure if they'd be up for it or not seeing as I am not Catholic. I have had a wee bit of resistance even playing for funerals here and there over the years if the person who dies is Catholic and they are going to have the service in a Catholic church. No so much issue if they have the service at the funeral home...at least, not to my knowledge. LOL!!
