Dream Interpretation

I have never found such a wide range of interpretations both through online resources and my own dream interpretation books as I did today for cancer!

I dreamt last night that I had cancer and that I had a new job on a TV show like Extra or Inside Edition, so I had to hide the cancer and the treatment. There were already 3 established people on the show and I was coming in to be the 4th.

I can vividly remember in the dream the IV going in to my arm and feeling the medicine making it's way through my veins into my system.

I remember in the dream that I had to get long sleeved shirts/sweaters to cover up the IV port during segments. I also remember that to hide an IV pole is impossible, so they taped the IV's medicine bag to my shoulder to that it was "up" and the medicine would still be able to drip down while I worked.

I also remember checking the port and the bag several times while working wondering why it seemed to be taking so long for the bag to empty. I remember thinking in the dream that I didnt realize it would take a bag a day. I thought the chemo drip would only take an hour or 2, then I'd be done with it and just have to worry about the port.

Weird.

Anyhoos, there seems to be a wide variance on how to interpret this dream. There are positive and negative interpretations, so...anyone want to wade in and offer up their thoughts on interpretation?

The biggest thing about dream interpretation is: what does it mean TO YOU and how did you feel about it in your dream?

If you are scared of cancer/disease generally, and the dream was about people dying/catching/stricken with the disease, then it is a negative and is warning you or showing you your fears. If you aren't that afraid of it and/or in your dream you weren't afraid, then it probably means something more like you see complications and unhealthiness around you and you should pay attention to it and maybe assist those who have it.

Adding the fact you were on a TV show brings in an aspect of spectacle or a need to speak out on the subject.

Take all this as you will.

Interestingly, my word verification word is "staph" -- like in staph infection?
