Long time, no write!

Long time since last I blogged. Lots has happened.

We bought a house.
We bought a house that was "renovated and move-in ready".
We bought a house that within 24 of closing date we had to get an electrician in to help us get a light working.
We bought a house that was a fire trap.
We bought a house that needed to be completely re-wired.
We bought a house, which meant getting a mortgage and then mere days later had to go back to the bank and get a loan to renovate the "renovated and move-in ready" house.

ARGH!!

It's been a bit of a go. It's still not completely put back together again either. I'm waiting for my sister and brother in law to come over and tell me how we're going to cover up the new wiring and close some holes in the walls and ceilings that were made due to the new electrical.

ARGH!

I just want to be unpacked. I hate living out of boxes with nothing up on the walls and nothing on display.

The one thing that is mostly together is the teaching area/music room. we'll have to put up a bulk head in the waiting room, but so be it.

I don't want to really have anyone over to see the house until it's "done" and we're "settled", but that may still be a while, but I also want to have people see it and I want to have a BBQ to thank those that helped get it together. Oh well. All in due time.

Also doign another concert with Christopher and Claire in a couple of weeks and I have a lot of work to do now that we had the first rehearsal today. LOTS of work to do, so I may still be MIA, but at least you now know why...buying a house is a huge time eater and PITA!! hopefully I'll enjoy it more soon!

So, either the previous owners were hiding something from you or were blissfully ignorant. With the way they sort of forced your hand on the purchase, I would say they were hiding things.

Once you get it all squared away, it will be fine and a very nice house... and YOUR house. And then you can forget the previous owners and make it yours.
